It’s not always about trying to fix something that’s broken. It’s about starting over and creating something better.

This is the mantra we stuck to from early 2017 until today, and we will continue to do so into the future. EDD Bookings has undergone a complete overhaul. Not one thing has remained the same from the previous version, so as you can imagine, it has not been easy.

As we start June, we are testing the final Alpha version. With the flexibility we are providing in our availability calendar and other areas, it is a complex process to make sure that as many possible scenarios are catered for, including those we will be introducing features for in the future.

If we don’t do this now, we are risking running into problems in the near future and having to make updates that could break backwards compatibility. We experienced this with other plugins in the past and are adamant on not making the same mistake.

To have a look at the latest version of the plugin, visit our new Features page. Below is a quick look at what our booking wizard has evolved into.

In the next few days we will be releasing 0.1-beta1 – the first Beta version of the new EDD Bookings. We’re super excited to start gathering user feedback.

While that happens, we’re also hard at work getting the website ready for launch, building up our brand new Knowledge Base, as well as setting up a free demo site where you will be able to try out the plugin for free, for as long as you like, on your own brand spanking new WordPress site.

To all those who purchased EDD Bookings in the pre-launch offer we ran in 2017, we apologise for the delays we have experienced. You will be the first to receive the plugin at the moment of its release, and we will be more than happy to work with you to make use of the plugin and to understand your needs for the future.

Those who have applied and been accepted as Beta testers will be emailed in the coming days with instructions on where to download the Beta version, how to test it, and how to provide feedback to our development team.

Almost everything is ready to go, and we can’t wait!
